In 2020 and 2021, I started teaching in the Design & Theory Second Year studio at the University of Cape Town led by Professor Tomà Berlanda. The 'Ecosystems' studio examines the dialogue between science, economics, politics, craftsmanship and architecture.

Extracts from studio Instagram, conceived as a tool to communicate with students during remote learning that is visual, immediate and accessible. We used it as a channel for a ‘lecture-lite’ series with inspiring content in support of the coursework.

Both the course content and existing ways of teaching had to adapt to a sudden shift to remote learning under Covid-19. A challenge that was met with creativity and resilience by students and lecturing team.
